We love our mothers. We respect our grandfathers. And we’re tight with our brothers. But they are not our target audience.

The most difficult thing to do in marketing is to look at the world through your target audience’s eyes. We invest time and effort into the DISCOVER phase of every single project because we, at TIV Branding, know how important it is to understand your audience and to tailor your approach to them.The idea for the campaign came to us because we often tell stories in the office about how people we know, family in particular (we’re talking to you, Joe) tell us they don’t like our billboard. It’s actually pretty funny. We know they’re trying to help us out, but the fact of the matter is, it’s okay if they don’t like it. They’re not our audience. Our audience is experienced marketing professionals. We want to work with people who get what we do. And the audience we’re talking to with this campaign will not take much time to figure out what we’re saying, probably have a chuckle and then call us up and give us a huge contract.

Even if it doesn’t happen quite like that, what we know for sure is we’re building our brand and reinforcing the personality of TIV Branding. We have people tell us all the time that they appreciate the fact that we’re not afraid to put a good amount of personality into our branding. We’re very serious about our work, but that’s about it. It’s who we are and it comes off that way. And that’s a big win for a brand.
